Fall is the best time to ride!

Ryan Feagan

As the temps start to drop and the air dries out, R&R coaches feel this is the best time of the year for single track riding.

Our next clinic will be September 24-25 here in Omaha but first we must get our dirt on. Ryan and Roxy will be heading west to race in the Big Mountain Enduro in Crested Butte, Colorado. Three consecutive days of big back country racing where the staged descents are timed and the rides between them are neutral. This allows racers to see the sights, get to know other racers from around the US and beyond and feel more relaxed before each stage. Unlike XC racing where it's elbow to elbow, each racer goes off on their own every minute to allow enough time and space between. It's pretty amazing to be racing between 10K - 11K feet going downhill as fast as you can. Especially being from the flat lands where our hills are seconds long. We'll be racing sometimes 15-20-30 minutes to the bottom. It's fun, scary and thrilling all wrapped into one event.

Then after that race, the explorers in us will be looking for new places to ride so we can bring other riders with us in the future. Keeping it to southwest Colorado, we hope to hit up some big back country trails around Telluride, Durango and though it's been a few years, possibly even get over to Moab.

We can't wait to get to the Great Wide Open and when we get back, school's on!

Spring Clinic Highlights

Ryan Feagan

This spring, we were honored to have a couple dozen folks join us for a weekend of skill building. With winds approaching 40mph at the first clinic, we were a bit nervous but our students bundled up and took it in stride.

Our second clinic had mostly women! It's exciting to know we're helping get more women on bikes and out into the woods!

Both clinics had riders from every level. Those who just bought their bike to season racers and still we hear similar sentiments and love seeing the progress that even just two days can make in a rider's confidence and skill level.

Our feelings exactly!

R&R in 2016

Roxzanne Feagan

As the snow starts to melt in these parts, we daydream of warmer days and dry single track to shred with friends old and new.

To stoke our daydreaming, we hung a obnoxiously huge, laminated calendar in our living room. Now we can see at a glance how much awesome we're packing into the riding season. So far two clinics in the spring are on the books. We can't wait to share our love for riding with new friends!

Once the growing season is in full swing here in Nebraska, we can't comfortably do our clinics locally so that's when we hit the road with other mountain bikers who are ready to test themselves at races or on epic trips into the back country. We'll be heading to ColoRADo at least 4-5 times to enduro our faces off and hopefully just for some fun riding as well. Want to come along?

New this year R&R will be offering private clinics. We understand a whole weekend can be a tough ask sometimes so if you're up for a single day or evening, give us a call to discuss how we can design a mini clinic for you. Or if a group of your friends want to put together a clinic, we can do that too. Heck, combine it with a trip somewhere and we're in! We do all the planning, coordinating and booking. You and your friends just bring your bikes! How rad is that! We've been to some pretty cool places where we could hold clinics and rides. All you have to do is ask.

This year is looking pretty jam-packed with awesomeness and we hope you'll be part of it. Riding is in our bones. Teaching is in our blood. Sharing is in our hearts. We look forward to seeing you in a clinic or on the trails.

Think spring and always, Ride Inspired!
